Overview

The Agent Builder is a guided tool for easily creating agents. It takes you step by step through the process and helps you quickly create functional agents without technical knowledge.

Using the Agent Builder

1. Start Builder

  1. Click "New Agent"
  2. Select "Create with Agent Builder"
  3. The guided process begins

2. Select Template

The builder offers various templates for typical use cases:

  • Customer Service Agent: Answers customer questions and solves problems
  • Sales Assistant: Assists with product information and sales
  • Technical Support: Helps with technical problems
  • FAQ Bot: Answers frequently asked questions
  • Blank Agent: Start from scratch

Templates as Foundation

Even if no template fits perfectly, choose the most similar one as a starting point. You can adjust everything later.

3. Basic Settings

The builder guides you through the most important settings:

Name and Description - Give your agent a meaningful name - Briefly describe what it should do

Define Behavior - What role should the agent assume? - How should it communicate? - What tasks should it fulfill?

The builder automatically generates an optimized prompt from this.

4. Add Knowledge

Select Data Sources - Upload documents (PDF, Word, Text) - Link websites or URLs - Connect databases

The builder helps select the appropriate data source types.

5. Extend Capabilities

Activate Tools - Email integration - Calendar access - External APIs - Other agents

The builder suggests appropriate tools based on your use case.

6. Preview and Test

Test Agent - Conduct test conversations - Review the responses - Refine settings if needed

Adjust - Change wording - Add additional information - Adjust behavior

7. Publish

Deployment - Activate the agent - Choose access settings - Integrate it into your systems

After Creation

After creating an agent with the builder:

  • All settings remain fully accessible and can be manually adjusted
  • Switch to manual configuration is possible at any time
  • Further development can be done with or without the builder
