Skills

Skills are collections of capabilities that can be assigned to an agent. They contain instructions on how the agent should handle specific file types or tasks. A Microsoft skill, for example, can include instructions on how to process Word, Excel, or PDF files.

Skills are loaded dynamically when they are needed and are not automatically in the agent's context. This increases flexibility and efficiency, as the agent only actively uses the capabilities that are relevant to the current task.


Typical use cases

  • Editing and formatting Microsoft documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF) according to a template
  • Structured extraction of data from forms and contracts
  • Automated creation and customization of email templates

Create and activate skills

Skills are created as a collection of capabilities and assigned in the agent's edit screen. Open the agent, switch to the Skills section, and activate the desired collection.

Activation required

Skills must always be activated in the agent's edit screen. A skill only takes effect when it is switched on there.


In the platform

The skills overview in the platform shows all available skills. From there you can open and view an existing skill or create a new one via the button in the top right.
