Bots – Deploy AI Agents Publicly

Bots are AI agents embedded as chat interfaces on websites or in other channels. They provide external visitors and customers with direct access to your AI-powered assistants – available around the clock without human intervention.

Prerequisites

Using bots requires a bot subscription. Additionally, the underlying AI agent must be set to the access type Public. Without an active bot subscription, no bot can be created or embedded.

How bots work

A bot is based on the same AI agent you use internally. It accesses your data sources, follows your guidelines, and can use tools – such as sending emails or retrieving data. Design, texts, and behavior are configured in the Bot Designer.

From agent to bot

Any AI agent can be embedded as a bot:

  1. Create an AI agent and configure it with data sources, guidelines, and tools
  2. Set access to Public
  3. Customise design and behavior in the Bot Designer
  4. Generate embed code and insert it on your website

Use cases

Bots are suitable for customer service (answer FAQs, handle support inquiries, route requests), lead generation (qualify prospects, collect contact details, schedule appointments), and onboarding (guide users through processes, provide tutorials, offer context-specific help).
