Authentication
The Evoya platform supports sign-in via Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD). This allows users in your organisation to log in to the Evoya platform using their existing Microsoft account – without a separate password. Setup is performed once by an administrator with the Administrator role and requires no additional configuration with Microsoft.
Prerequisites
- You are signed in to the Evoya platform with the Administrator role.
- You have the credentials of a Microsoft Entra administrator authorised to grant the required permissions.
Setting up Microsoft Entra ID
The setup is done entirely within the Evoya platform. No manual steps in the Microsoft Entra Admin Center are necessary.
- Open the Settings area in the side menu and navigate to the Authentication page.
- Click the button in the top right to add a provider.
- In the popup that appears, select Microsoft.
- Sign in with a Microsoft Entra administrator account.
- Review the requested Microsoft Graph permissions.
- Click Accept to grant admin consent.
Admin consent required
The Accept step is mandatory. Without admin consent, users cannot sign in via Microsoft.
Once the configuration is complete, Microsoft sign-in is available to all users in your organisation.
User sign-in
After Microsoft Entra ID is set up, users can sign in via two routes:
- Through the login page of the Evoya platform using the Continue with Microsoft option.
- Through the sign-up page of the Evoya platform, also using Continue with Microsoft.
Users do not need to be invited in advance via the members page. Registration happens automatically on first sign-in via Microsoft.
Automatic user registration
The Evoya platform identifies a user's organisation using the Microsoft tenant ID returned during authentication. On first sign-in via Microsoft, the following happens automatically:
- The user is registered as a member.
- The user is added to the organisation's default workspace.
