Privacy Shield

Privacy Shield automatically anonymizes sensitive data – such as names, addresses, or email addresses – in texts before they are sent to external AI providers like ChatGPT or Claude. This lets you process confidential or personal data without taking on data protection risks.

How it works

Anonymization is performed by a Swiss AI, before the data leaves the country. For example, "Max Mustermann, Musterstrasse 1" is automatically turned into "Name 1, Address 1". The external AI provider receives only the anonymized version.

In the frontend you still see the real data. The anonymization happens in the background – you do not notice it, except that your data is protected.

Adjust manually

Before sending, you can manually adjust the anonymized data if necessary. This keeps you in full control of what is transmitted to the AI provider.

Activate Privacy Shield

Privacy Shield can be activated in the chat via the configuration icon in the chat input field. When it is switched on, sensitive data in your inputs is automatically anonymized before it is processed.

When Privacy Shield is useful

The feature is especially valuable when you work with confidential or personal data – for example, contracts, correspondence, or internal documents that should not flow in plain text to external services.
